Welcome to MS Awareness Week 2025

Every year when MS awareness week rolls around the WMS' team takes time to think about our clients and others who use our service, and why our service matters. We also consider how we and our families can best work together to enable people with MS to live their best lives.

To encourage the wider community to have awareness and understanding about MS we’re running a small street and supermarket campaign again this year, along with posters at libraries and other selected locations. We’ll also send one further email, later in the week.

Awareness Week is our big campaign opportunity each year and we ask you to help us spread awareness and please make a donation, if you’re in the fortunate position to do so.

Thank You

Thanks to everyone who supports the campaign in some way, by providing a collection or poster site, raising awareness, collecting or making a donation.

Our campaign starts today, with our collectors onsite at New World Carterton. Please support them if you're in the area. See an outline of the week's activity below.

Time Matters NZ: MSNZ's National Campaign

Our campaign piggybacks off MSNZ’s national campaign. Learn more about on their website.

This year is year two of a three year campaign themed Spotting and Reporting the Early Signs of MS with the tagline: Time Matters in MS. Some great content has been developed to keep you informed and entertained, including case studies and a quiz, so keep an eye on their website, Facebook and Instagram.

If you make a donation through the MSNZ website

When asked if you would like to make a national or regional donation please select the regional option, to ensure the funds are directed to the important free mobile service WMS provides that enables PwMS in greater Wellington to live their best lives.
