Wairarapa Disability Expo Poster
Good Lives Wairarapa, People First and the FERNZ Community Action Group are hosting Wairarapa's second Disability Expo at the Wairarapa (Carterton) Events Centre from 9.30 am to 3.00 pm on Saturday 28 February. Over 40 exhibitors from the disability sector have registered. Workshops will run through the day, with the morning series repeated in the afternoon to give everyone a chance to participate:
- Workshop 1: An update on the NZ Disability Strategy. Alan Ryan, Whaikaha – Ministry of Disabled People.
- Workshop 2: Getting ready for an emergency: a new preparedness guide. Renee Santos, Wellington Region Emergency Management Office (WREMO).
- Workshop 3: What is Individualised Funding and what is coming next. Simon Anderson, Manawanui.
- Workshop 4: Disability discrimination. Rachael Wiltshire, Aotearoa Disability Law.
