It's almost here: MS Awareness Week 2023
The countdown is on, with less than one week until MS Awareness Week 11-17 September 2023.
Work is well advanced on our campaign and street collection, to raise awareness of and much needed funding to support the vital services we provide to people with MS around the greater Wellington region.
There is a range of activity planned all around the region.
It's not too late: If you or someone you know are happy to be part of the street collection, then please get in touch. Thanks to the people who have already put their hands up, we will be in touch again before your collection day to confirm.
Please support the campaign however you can: at home, work or with your club.
We're mindful that some people with MS might not feel comfortable fundraising face-to-face in the post-covid environment. We totally understand and accept that, so please put yourself and your own well-being first. Please don't go without the things you need to make a donation either.
We know MS Awareness Week isn't just about raising much needed funds to enable people with MS to live their best lives, its also about telling people we're here, who we are, what we need and how they can help.
It's a big ask, but if you can help by giving a few hours of your time or fundraising and awareness raising in another way then please let us know below.

Bake Sale at Victoria University Wellington
Our Patron Anne La Flamme's wonderful team not only conduct research towards finding a cure for MS, they will also hold another bake sale fundraiser this year, to raise funds towards our campaign. Well done team, thanks so much for all the amazing work you do!
The Collective Community Hub Johnsonville
We would also like to thank the fantastic people at the Collective Community Hub who will be hosting a donation station with a collection bucket, awareness raising resources and QRs to make donating easy during MS Awareness Week.
Libraries
Our thanks also to the amazing libraries from Wellington, Hutt City, Kapiti and Masterton which have agreed to display posters during the campaign.
