Peer Support Programme

Our Peer Support Programme connects people living with MS together. Whether you are new to MS or have been living with MS for years, linking with a trained Peer Support worker can prove invaluable.

Informal peer support has always taken place within the MS community. In 2022 Wellington MS began developing a formal one-on-one Peer Support programme with trained Peer Support volunteers.

Wellington MS now has trained peer support volunteers who are available to talk to you on the phone or zoom, or over a coffee. Peer Support is usually delivered over a period of time, perhaps four or six weeks.

Find out more by reading or downloading our welcome to Peer Support info sheet.

More information will be added to this webpage from time-to-time. If you would like to talk to someone about the Peer Support Programme or would like to be connected to a Peer Support volunteer please contact your Community Advisor or email info@mswellington.org.nz.
